Situated alongside the River Avon, Paintworks has been labelled “the creative quarter” of Bristol, as is home to a host of trendy film companies, digital agencies and design studios. There’s also lots of small courtyards, green spaces and a few riverside benches – great to discover on a mooch around the site. There may even be an art show or food festival whilst your visiting in the popular event space.
There’s a fantastic bar and restaurant called Boca Bar onsite, just 2 minutes door to door (they do the best pizzas in town and amazing Sunday roasts) along with a great independent cafe called Convoy Espresso situated in the Airstreams opposite.
Paintworks is a 5-10 minute drive or a 15 minute walk to Temple Meads Railway Station.
Buses to both Bath and Bristol city centre leave from directly outside Paintworks every approx every 10 minutes. Look out for bus numbers: 1, 57, 349 & X39.
A taxi ride to Bristol city centre / Clifton costs approx £8
