The Loft was our very first apartment and was inspired by an awesome Brooklyn loft we stayed in a few years back.
It’s a substantial open plan space and although it has a very cool and contemporary feel, everyone who’s stayed (and we do mean everyone) has commented on how really comfy and cosy it is.
We’ve gone pretty crazy with the street art and commissioned local artist Jody to paint a truly impressive Beastie Boys mural directly onto the dining area wall. It’s worth booking just to see it in the flesh!
The sofas are so big and soft people have been known to disappear in them, never to return.
A special mention has to go to the huge bespoke wood and steel dining table. It’s the centre piece of a great social area ideal for big family feasts, catching up with friends or simply stretching out with the Sunday papers.
We think The Loft is the perfect “home from home” and has everything you need to kick back and relax. It’s the ultimate crash pad after a long day in the office or a busy weekend sight seeing.
And please don’t just take our word for it, check out all of our guest’s 5 * reviews!
Paintworks is situated alongside the River Avon between the areas of Brislington and Totterdown. It’s a vibrant and exciting place to stay whilst you are in Bristol and is home to a host of creative businesses, a handful of lofts, artist studios, small communal courtyards, tree lined alley ways, river benches and green spaces.
There are two original American Airstream’s called Convoy Espresso which offers great coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Boca Pizza bar onsite also offers great pizza’s along with other delicious foods. You can also pop in for an alcoholic beverage or a coffee. The Paintworks event space also regularly hosts weekend art shows and local food festivals.
If it’s a quiet tranquil walk you’re after then just a 5 minute skip and a hop over the road from Paintworks is the truly beautiful Arnos Vale Cemetery. It’s a 45 acre haven of peace and quiet right in the middle of the city. There’s numerous nature walks, a café and a small shop all surrounded by some of the most beautiful woodland Bristol has to offer.
On the opposite side of the River Avon take a quick walk over one of Brunel’s first bridges along the Bristol and Bath railway and cycle path, great for a family stroll, an evening jog or for the more adventurous a 10 mile bike ride straight to Bath city centre.

The design of the apartment – contemporary and funky – location was great – close to town and the railway station.
